Values

True to the zoomer spirit, we strive to be as open and honest as we can in whatever we deliver, and say whatever’s on our mind.

We believe that information is useless when people choose to sound smart over communicating their ideas effectively. We’re here to shape mindsets. Hence, we write with the purpose of making our audience digest our thoughts as easily as possible.

Zoomers Corner welcomes and encourages all kinds of opinions as long as they do not incite hate and discrimination. We remain critical, wholeheartedly listening to views that differ from ours.

Hey, there!

I guess I created Zoomers Corner or something, but that makes me sound more important than I really am. This is just a little blog and culture-sharing platform that I made because I am seriously in love with the Filipinos of my generation: the Gen Z. Granted, I am 22 years old and bordering on being a millennial. Nonetheless, I see a lot of potential in the future. In our generation.

I know it’s crazy given that we’ve been dealt a pretty crappy hand. I’m writing this at a time when the world is four feet under it seems, and we’re just one major catastrophe away from the apocalypse.

But I look at my timeline, and the things that give me the most hope are the posts that come from people who are younger than me. Remembering that makes me really proud of our generation, so I thought if we had this energy and optimism, all we ever really needed was a platform to let our voices be heard. And thus, Zoomers Corner was born.

This is a safe space where people won’t tell us that we’re too young to know things. Because we actually do.

Aside from this, I really want it to be a place where we welcome discussions of any kind, of our culture, of things sometimes only we understand. This is a place to connect. And for those who are not from Gen Z, I hope this is a place that lets you inside our heads for a bit: what we like, what we dislike, what’s hot, what’s not. Do know that you are always welcome here! Given my inexperience in technical and creative writing in the Filipino language (I half-blame being colonized, and our education system for that), I do hope that I’ll be able to get the resources needed to have well-written content in the Filipino language.

For transparency’s sake, I just hold an entry-level job right now, and I have already invested a handsome sum of money on this website. Right now, it is funded by myself alone. To sustain this platform, a goal of mine is for the website to be profitable in the future.

With that said, Zoomers Corner will always be for the zoomers first 💯
